Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Manage accounts payable/receivable and reconcile bank accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Process bi-weekly payroll and ensure compliance with federal/state tax regulations
- Conduct internal audits and implement process improvements for financial controls
- Assist with tax preparation and documentation for corporate and individual clients
- Develop customized financial reports for executive stakeholders using Excel and QuickBooks
- Collaborate with auditors during annual reviews and maintain compliance documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience with daily/monthly close responsibilities
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel (advanced functions), and accounting software
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and tax regulations (NC-specific knowledge a plus)
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills with ability to translate financial data for non-experts
- High ethical standards and attention to detail with numerical data
- Valid US work authorization and reliable transportation
