Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all financial entries.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoicing and bill payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets and P&L statements.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve financial processes and internal controls.
- Support budget preparation and variance analysis for department heads.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial reporting.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
