Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy of financial records.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Assist with the preparation of annual tax returns and local state filings.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve financial reporting processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in general accounting or a related field.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite) and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred but not required for senior roles.
- Excellent analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
