Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including GL maintenance, month-end close, and financial statement preparation
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
- Conduct bank reconciliations and variance analysis for all financial accounts
- Prepare and file tax returns while ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights
- Collaborate with auditors during annual financial reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience with public/private sector exposure
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and tax regulations (Ohio-specific experience a plus)
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical problem-solving abilities
- Proven experience with month-end closing and financial reporting
- Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration
