Job Description
We are looking for a visionary 2D Interactive Web Developer to join our elite engineering team in San Francisco. If you are passionate about pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the browser, creating fluid, high-performance 2D graphics, and building immersive web experiences, this is the role for you.
As a key member of our product team, you will be responsible for architecting and implementing cutting-edge 2D rendering engines using WebGL, HTML5 Canvas, and modern JavaScript frameworks. You will work closely with world-class designers to transform static concepts into dynamic, pixel-perfect interactive realities.
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement high-performance 2D rendering engines using WebGL, Three.js, and HTML5 Canvas.
- Optimize rendering pipelines to ensure 60fps performance across a wide range of devices and browsers.
- Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers to translate static assets into dynamic, interactive 2D experiences.
- Maintain and extend existing 2D visualization libraries and internal tooling.
- Debug complex graphics issues, optimize assets, and ensure pixel-perfect visual fidelity.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging web graphics technologies and best practices.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in front-end development with a specific focus on 2D graphics and interactive web elements.
- Expert knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
- Proficiency in WebGL, Pixi.js, or similar 2D rendering libraries.
- Deep understanding of the HTML5 Canvas API and performance optimization techniques.
- Strong mathematical background (linear algebra) for 2D/3D transformations and physics simulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
