Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps for AI-driven automation, quantum-resistant security, and climate-positive systems
- Lead moonshot projects in neuromorphic computing and decentralized identity protocols
- Partner with VCs to incubate spin-off ventures targeting 2026 market gaps
- Present foresight analyses to C-suite executives and government innovation councils
- Mentor PhD researchers in emerging fields like synthetic biology and nanotechnology
- Secure $5M+ in R&D grants through DARPA and NSF partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Quantum Physics, or related field with 8+ years in R&D
- Published research in Nature/Science on future tech paradigms
- Expertise in at least two: quantum machine learning, post-quantum cryptography, or generative AI ethics
- Track record of commercializing futuristic tech (patents or acquired startups)
- Experience advising Fortune 500 on digital transformation 2020-2025
- Fluency in Python, TensorFlow, and quantum programming frameworks
- Security clearance preferred for federal collaboration projects
