Responsibilities
- Design and lead cross-functional R&D initiatives targeting 2026 technology horizons
- Identify and evaluate emerging tech disruptions (quantum, bio-digital, climate AI)
- Develop strategic roadmaps for product integration of future-state capabilities
- Lead patent development for breakthrough innovations
- Mentor a team of futurists and prototype engineers
- Present findings to C-suite and board of directors
- Partner with VCs to scout and acquire cutting-edge startups
Qualifications
- 10+ years in tech innovation with 5+ years in strategic leadership
- Proven track record launching future-facing products/services
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, AI ethics, neurotech, or climate tech
- PhD or equivalent in computer science, physics, or related field
- Published thought leadership in IEEE or Nature journals
- Experience securing $10M+ in innovation funding
- Deep understanding of global tech policy landscapes
- Fluency in Mandarin or German preferred
