As a thought leader in our Austin-based innovation hub, you'll collaborate with C-suite executives to develop long-term roadmaps that anticipate and shape the technological landscape of 2026 and beyond. You'll leverage data-driven analysis and cross-industry insights to identify disruptive opportunities while mitigating future risks.
Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify emerging technologies and societal shifts impacting 2026+ markets
- Develop strategic frameworks for exponential technology adoption (AI, quantum computing, biotech)
- Produce trend reports and scenario-planning models for executive decision-making
- Partner with R&D to align innovation pipelines with future market demands
- Design and facilitate strategic foresight workshops with global stakeholders
- Monitor geopolitical and regulatory developments affecting future technology landscapes
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or technology trend analysis
- Proven expertise in scenario planning and horizon scanning methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, blockchain, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional data storytelling and executive communication skills
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Technology Management, or related field
- Published thought leadership in emerging technology or futurism
- Certification in strategic foresight (e.g., CFIP) preferred
