Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for 2026-era applications in cryptography and materials science
- Design fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures with 99.9% stability thresholds
- Publish 3+ peer-reviewed papers in Nature/Science journals annually
- Manage $2M+ research budget and cross-functional team of 12 PhD scientists
- Partner with government agencies (DARPA, NSF) on quantum security initiatives
- Drive commercialization of quantum solutions for Fortune 100 clients
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years experience with superconducting qubits or topological quantum systems
- Published research in quantum error correction or fault tolerance
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Proven track record of leading $1M+ R&D projects
- Clearance for DoD quantum security initiatives preferred
- Patents in quantum information processing highly desirable
