Responsibilities
- Design and implement real-time signal processing algorithms for neural data acquisition and decoding.
- Develop and deploy machine learning models to translate neural spikes into actionable digital commands.
- Collaborate with neurologists and hardware engineers to optimize electrode array performance and signal fidelity.
- Ensure data privacy and security standards are met for sensitive neural datasets.
- Research and prototype future-proof neural interface protocols for the 2026 market landscape.
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews to maintain high technical standards.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. or Masterβs degree in Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in signal processing, machine learning, or BCI technology.
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and MATLAB for data analysis and algorithm development.
- Experience with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) applied to time-series data.
- Strong understanding of statistics, probability, and optimization techniques.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance or pass strict background checks due to the sensitive nature of the work.
