Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps integrating AI, quantum computing, and biotech convergence
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with engineers, designers, and futurists
- Conduct horizon scanning for emerging technologies with market impact analysis
- Architect ethical frameworks for autonomous systems and human-AI collaboration
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Manage $2M+ innovation budget with ROI-driven project prioritization
- Partner with academic institutions (UT, Rice) for joint R&D initiatives
Qualifications
- 7+ years in strategic innovation, product development, or emerging tech
- Expertise in at least two future-critical domains (AI ethics, quantum computing, climate tech)
- Proven track record scaling tech initiatives from concept to market
- Advanced degree in Technology Strategy, Computer Science, or related field
- Strong quantitative analysis skills with market modeling experience
- Published thought leadership on technology futures or disruption
- Experience managing cross-continental innovation teams
- Certification in Futures Thinking (e.g., WFS, APF) preferred
