This position reports directly to our Chief Futurist and includes executive sponsorship for patent filings and industry thought leadership.
Responsibilities
- Architect and execute the 2026 technology innovation roadmap, aligning with UN SDGs and exponential growth curves
- Lead cross-functional 'Future Labs' to prototype AI-augmented systems for healthcare, logistics, and energy sectors
- Develop patent-pending frameworks for human-AI symbiosis and ethical governance protocols
- Secure $5M+ in innovation grants and partnerships with NASA, MIT, and sovereign wealth funds
- Present quarterly strategic briefings to C-suite and board members on emerging tech disruptions
- Mentor a 15-person innovation team in agile methodologies and exponential thinking
- Curate annual 'Future Forward' summit featuring industry disruptors and policy influencers
Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or Futurology with 10+ years in R&D leadership
- Proven track record of scaling exponential technologies (quantum computing, synthetic biology, or neuromorphic systems)
- Expertise in futures forecasting methodologies (Horizon Scanning, Delphi Analysis, Technology Roadmapping)
- Portfolio of launched products/services impacting 1M+ users or $100M+ market value
- Certifications in AI ethics (IEEE, ACM) and sustainable development (LEED, B Corp)
- Experience securing federal grants (SBIR/STTR) and commercializing IP across 3+ continents
- Fluency in Python, TensorFlow, and simulation environments (Unity/Unreal) for rapid prototyping
