Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon-scanning research to identify emerging technologies and market trends affecting 2026+ landscapes
- Develop strategic foresight frameworks and scenario-planning models for long-term business adaptation
- Lead cross-functional workshops to align stakeholders on future-focused innovation priorities
- Author compelling thought leadership content (whitepapers, keynote presentations) positioning NextGen as an industry visionary
- Partner with product teams to embed future-ready capabilities into development roadmaps
- Monitor geopolitical, environmental, and socio-technical shifts with strategic implications
- Build and maintain an ecosystem of futurists, technologists, and academic collaborators
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Technology Management, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or technology trend analysis
- Proven expertise in scenario planning, horizon scanning, and trend impact assessment
- Deep knowledge of emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech, sustainable tech)
- Exceptional storytelling skills with experience translating complex concepts for executive audiences
- Strong quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
- Portfolio of published foresight work or strategic frameworks
- Certification in strategic foresight (e.g., AC/FS preferred)
