In this pivotal role, you'll leverage data-driven insights to guide our innovation roadmap, ensuring we stay ahead of technological, societal, and economic shifts that will define the next decade.
This hybrid position offers the flexibility to work remotely 3 days/week from our Austin hub, with collaborative in-person sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays. You'll collaborate with C-suite executives, R&D teams, and industry disruptors to transform foresight into actionable strategy.
Responsibilities
- Analyze macroeconomic, technological, and sociocultural trends impacting 2026-2030 landscape
- Develop predictive models for market disruption scenarios and opportunity identification
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate future insights into product roadmaps
- Author quarterly 'Horizon Scan' reports with actionable strategic recommendations
- Partner with R&D to prototype future-focused solutions and validate market readiness
- Represent the company at global futurist forums and thought leadership summits
- Mentor junior analysts in trend forecasting methodology
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or trend analysis
- Proficiency in scenario planning frameworks (e.g., STEEP, Delphi method)
- Experience with AI-driven trend analysis tools (e.g., GPT-4, TrendHunter Pro)
- Published thought leadership on future-of-work or technology disruption
- Strong quantitative and qualitative research methodologies background
- Exceptional presentation skills for executive audiences
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ future-strategy implementations
