Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the 2026 Technology Horizon Roadmap, identifying breakthrough technologies with 3-7 year adoption cycles
- Analyze quantum computing, AI ethics, biotech convergence, and climate tech implications for industry transformation
- Lead scenario planning workshops for C-suite executives on future market disruptions and competitive threats
- Produce quarterly Futurescape Reports synthesizing global tech trends into strategic recommendations
- Establish strategic partnerships with leading research institutions (MIT Media Lab, Singularity University, etc.)
- Design and implement innovation sprints to prototype solutions for 2026-era challenges
- Mentor a cross-functional team of futurists, data scientists, and industry analysts
Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent experience in Futures Studies, Systems Theory, or Strategic Foresight (minimum 8 years)
- Proven track record of forecasting technology trends with documented accuracy (portfolio required)
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains: quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI, or climate engineering
- Exceptional systems thinking ability to model complex socio-technical ecosystems
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry whitepapers
- Experience presenting to C-level executives and board members on long-term strategy
- Proficiency in foresight methodologies (Delphi, Horizon Scanning, Cross-Impact Matrix)
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successful future-vision implementations in enterprise environments
