Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis to identify disruptive technologies and market shifts through 2030
- Develop innovation frameworks and strategic roadmaps for emerging domains (AI, biotech, quantum computing)
- Partner with C-suite executives to embed future-proofing principles into corporate strategy
- Design and facilitate cross-functional innovation sprints with R&D, product, and engineering teams
- Author thought leadership publications and present at global industry forums
- Establish KPIs to measure innovation impact and ROI of futuristic initiatives
- Manage a $5M+ innovation portfolio with agile resource allocation
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Technology Forecasting, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 10+ years in strategic innovation, R&D leadership, or futurist consulting
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies
- Deep expertise in at least two of: AI ethics, neurotech, climate tech, or decentralized systems
- Exceptional data visualization and scenario-planning capabilities
- Published author or keynote speaker on future trends
- Proficiency in foresight methodologies (Delphi, horizon scanning, causal layered analysis)
- Experience scaling innovation programs in enterprise environments
