Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive 2026+ innovation roadmap using horizon scanning, trend analysis, and scenario planning
- Lead cross-functional workshops to identify and prioritize breakthrough opportunities aligned with 2026 technological inflection points
- Produce quarterly futurist reports on AI, quantum computing, biotech, and other exponential technologies
- Collaborate with product teams to integrate 2026-vision features into development roadmaps
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and innovation labs for early-stage technology access
- Present futuristic insights to C-suite executives and board members to influence strategic decisions
- Mentor junior strategists in future-focused methodologies and critical thinking frameworks
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years in strategic innovation, futures research, or technology consulting
- Proven expertise in horizon scanning, scenario planning, and technology forecasting
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (AI, quantum, biotech, nanotech) and their 2026+ trajectories
- Exceptional ability to translate complex future concepts into business-relevant strategies
- Experience leading cross-functional teams through multi-year innovation initiatives
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Technology Management, or related field preferred
- Published thought leadership on emerging technologies or innovation strategy
- Strong presentation skills with experience influencing executive audiences
